Republican Of The Year

KJ McKenzie was honored with the Victor Clark Jr. Republican of the Year Award. This accolade, presented annually by the Baltimore City Republicans, acknowledges an individual Republican who has demonstrated enduring commitment to the principles of liberty and freedom championed by the party.

KJ McKenzie is the founder of Metro Conservative Media, a communications company she co-launched in 2021 with Jovani Patterson to amplify conservative voices in urban and surrounding communities. With a mission to challenge the one-sided media narrative, the company produces high-quality content and campaigns that foster informed political, social, and economic dialogue.

Under KJ’s leadership, Metro Conservative Media has become a trusted platform for honest debate, civic engagement, and community empowerment. Her creation of the “Pop & Politics” podcast on YouTube, which is nearing 200,000 subscribers, helped launch a broader media network that includes “KJ Christian Conservative”, “Just The Guys Podcast”, and “The All American Talk Show”, reaching over 22 million viewers collectively.

KJ’s commitment to civic education led her to launch the Informed Voter Power Series, connecting national thought leaders with local communities to develop conservative strategies for urban revitalization. She also has served as Vice Chair of the Maryland Black Republican Council and the Baltimore City Republican Party, reflecting her deep roots in grassroots activism.

Beyond her work in media and politics, KJ is a devoted wife of 20 years to Sean and the proud mother of their 16-year-old son, Kannon
