Arlington, Va., May 7 – Media Institute President Richard T. Kaplar issued the following statement regarding a complaint to the Federal Communications Commission filed by the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office:

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Many questions remain unanswered even after the Baltimore City Council called the CEO of City Schools to testify about Augusta Fells Savage Institute in west Baltimore. The school is under investigation for staff misconduct and grading irregularities.
“They're praising each ot
her on how well they're doing, how these stats are, with the reality of the situation, our school systems are failing,” said Jovani Patterson, a City Schools parent and former candidate for City Council.
Patterson watched last week as City Council held a virtual hearing to question Dr. Sonja Santelises, the CEO of Baltimore City Schools. It was a hearing where tempers flared.
