On consecutive beautiful weekends, the Baltimore City GOP made a strong appearance at two of Baltimore's best street fairs - the Pigtown Festival and the Fells Point Fun Festival.  We met city council members, mayoral candidates from both sides, the acting police chief and many dozens of Baltimoreans interested in improving schools, improving safety, cutting taxes and generally improving the governance in the City of Baltimore.  

BCRCC committee members supported the Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns' Tree of Life Gala and heard from 6x Pro Bowler, Superbowl champion Raven and 2022 MN Lt Gov Republican nominee Matt Birk.  (also a Harvard graduate ranked the 6th smartest athlete by Sporting News)  Matt entertained guests and shared his journey from football star to pro-life activist.

Founded in 1980, the Greater Baltimore Center for Pregnancy Concerns (CPC) is a local, non-political, non-denominational Christian ministry of hope and life. CPC a medical facility in downtown Baltimore offering pregnancy testing, viability sonograms, advocacy, and resources that support the choice for life.

The BCRCC met at Ropewalk for the 2nd Debate.  During the event, we took our own straw poll asking each of the attendings to select their first and second choice.  Despite skipping the debate, Donald Trump was chosen by 53%.  Vivek Ramaswamy pulled in 19% of votes to Ron DeSantis's 15%.  Nikki Haley, Chris Christie and Tim Scott each received about 5%.  We will hold more straw polls at our festival booths.  Keep checking back to see more results with different crowds.  Immediately after the debate, Pop & Politics held their podcast and hot take.
