The number of homicides and violent crimes committed within our great city have continued at a staggering rate.  Three hundred thirty-five lives ended last year as a result of gun violence. Over the past ten years, over 3,000 Baltimoreans have been killed.  And 2021 is outpacing the 2020 murder rate.

Open Carry allows citizens of any social class to defend themselves from predators who would wantonly steal, assault, or worse. Opponents will argue that open carry will increase gun violence. In fact, criminal activity decreases wherever law abiding citizens are allowed to defend themselves.  Unlike criminals who flee the scene after a shooting, those who are registered gun owners will justifiably report an incident to the police after a shooting, knowing they have the legal right to defend his or her person.

Investigators with the Office of the State Prosecutor executed a search warrant at the Baltimore State’s Attorney’s Office on Tuesday morning, according to the city prosecutor’s office and two sources with knowledge of the circumstances.

BALTIMORE — After some back and forth, Gov. Larry Hogan and Baltimore City Mayor Scott will be meeting next week to talk about violent crime.

BALTIMORE (WBFF) - Many questions remain unanswered even after the Baltimore City Council called the CEO of City Schools to testify about Augusta Fells Savage Institute in west Baltimore. The school is under investigation for staff misconduct and grading irregularities.

her on how well they're doing, how these stats are, with the reality of the situation, our school systems are failing,” said Jovani Patterson, a City Schools parent and former candidate for City Council.

Patterson watched last week as City Council held a virtual hearing to question Dr. Sonja Santelises, the CEO of Baltimore City Schools. It was a hearing where tempers flared.
